Incident: Thahe Mohammed Sabbar detained

According to a statement on the ACLU website, this month, Thahe Mohammed Sabbar was detained. He will claim to have been detained for the next 6 months at various facilities including Camp Bucca and Abu Ghraib. In his statement, he will claim that he was
  • beaten severely and frequently;
  • stunned with an electrical weapon;
  • forced, with other detainees, to run a gauntlet of soldiers who beat them with wooden batons;
  • left shackled for several hours in extreme heat;
  • sexually assaulted in the presence of other soldiers, including females, by being fondled and having several soldiers insert their fingers into him;
  • subjected, with other detainees, to mock executions;
  • threatened with detention in Guantanamo, where he could be killed;
  • deprived of food and water;
  • given spoilt food;
  • denied access to a toilet, causing him to soil himself;
